Dynamic Lynks is seeking a part-time, Board-Certified Music Therapist to join our school and clinic-based team starting ASAP!
Applicants should have experience with neuroscience informed music therapy approaches, early childhood, and leading individual and therapy groups. Ideal candidates will have experience working with the following: children and adults with neurodivergent diagnoses and developmental differences including ASD, ADHD, communication disorders, SPD, and 2e children - ages 2+.
This position requires driving as we provide school, in-home, and in-center therapy services. Dynamic Lynks serves the Greater Chicago area through our Oak Park clinic as well as contract and in-home services in the western and southwestern suburbs (Cook, DuPage, and Will counties).
Dynamic Lynks provides both individual and group therapy sessions, Monday – Saturday. This position would work clinical and school hours during the week. This position would be predominantly school and contract-based during the week days with afternoon and evening sessions in clinic. Flexible scheduling available in the afternoons and evenings.


Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
-
Board Certified Music Therapist (or sitting for the CBMT exam prior to start date) with specialization in child development and pediatric therapy

Creativity and experience with songwriting and original intervention development
-
Valid driver’s license, as position requires travel
-
Compassionate, flexible, and friendly when working with clients and co-workers
-
Proficient musical skills in: Voice, guitar, piano, percussion
-
Experience working with children and adults with a variety of neurodiverse diagnoses (developmental disabilities, ASD, ADHD, communication disorders, and more)
-
High level of confidence in facilitating groups, group therapy experience preferred
-
High level of confidence in facilitating 1:1 therapy sessions
-
Strong professional skills in leadership, teamwork, communication, writing, program development, goal setting, and treatment planning
-
Open to growth and training through new frameworks and philosophies
Desired Qualifications:
-
NMT (Neurologic Music Therapy) certification and/or training
-
Experience in neuro-affirming therapy practices
-
Experience with diverse communication styles (AAC, Gestalt Language Processing)


Compensation
-
Commensurate with previous experience and level of education: $35+/hour
-
Paid 1:1 clinical supervision and monthly team training
-
This position is a part-time employee position (W-2 and all taxes paid on your behalf)
