25 New Year's Resolutions to Make 2017 the Best Year Yet!

2016 is coming to a close and I am already dreaming up big ideas for 2017. If you are like me and are always going, going, going; setting some realistic resolutions for the New Year is probably a good idea. Below is a list of 25 New Year’s resolutions you can actually keep. These resolutions are for any adult, but I think are exceptionally important for the parents of children with special needs.

  1. Visit 5 places in your hometown that you have never been to (check out Hula Frog for local events)

  2. Try New Programs (like our Music and Yoga groups!)

  3. Explore new therapies

  4. Visit your state’s capital

  5. Stop worrying so much

  6. Practice self-love daily

  7. Get more organized

  8. Don’t be afraid to say “no”

  9. Take more pictures

  10. Take more risks

  11. Meditate (our Mindfulness, Meditation and Me class can get your little one in on the fun!)

  12. Volunteer for a charity that is close to your heart

  13. Start a blog

  14. Don’t be so hard on yourself

  15. Reconnect with an old friend

  16. Get more sleep

  17. Be more patient

  1. Remind yourself that it is OK to ask for help

  2. Think of three good things that happened at the end of each day

  3. Become a better listener

  4. Avoid fast food restaurants

  5. Eat more super foods

  6. Find an encouraging quote to help tackle each day

  7. Create a playlist for every occasion

  8. Treat yourself!

I hope these give you some inspiration for 2017. I think we all need to take some time in the New Year to focus on us. Cut yourself some slack and give yourself some love, you deserve it!

Wishing you a Happy Holiday Season, and I can’t wait to share all of the exciting things happening at Dynamic Lynks with you in 2017!
